February - Original

February began as a completely different painting. After a difficult period in my life, I covered it in a blue-green haze and spent months trying to fix what felt unfinished. Nothing worked. 

Eventually I stopped trying. And that changed everything.

This painting taught me something I didn't want to learn: I think alot of us spend our lives trying to resolve every uncertainty, smooth out every rough edge, and turn ourselves into finished versions of who we think we should be.

February is a reminder that some things don't need fixing to be whole.
